‘Fashion needs transparency’ is the call of Fashion Cloud and its strong partners Zalando, Bijenkorf, Boozt, Wehkamp, Breuninger and EK Fashion at the Fashion Transparency Summit.

The goal of the summit is to create a strong network that collaborates better in data sharing and hence creating transparency in order to establish this topic on fashion brands’ agendas. Sustainability data is a crucial factor in complying with national as well as EU-level regulations and following consumer demands. It is needed to track any kind of sustainability goals, set up sustainability reports, comply with due diligence and producer responsibility policies and to prevent greenwashing.
Therefore, Fashion Cloud and its partners invite fashion brands, specifically C-level and sustainability data experts to join the Fashion Transparency Summit. Key to the summit’s format is the expertise and experience from leading retailers and brands s.a. Zalando, Boozt and Breuninger, as well as the knowledge of policy makers that give in depth insights, present best practices and propose concrete solutions towards current and future challenges.

The Fashion Transparency Summit takes place in the Film Museum De Eye
in Amsterdam. The event day will consist of key notes, masterclasses, panel talks and network opportunities. Talks will be given among others by Richard Lawson, Team Lead Circular & Sustainable Products at Zalando, Chiel van Leewen, Head of Sustainability business at De Bijenkorf and Julian Asslinger, Head of Sustainability, Innovation & Responsible Communication at Marc O’Polo just as Pernille Storgaard Møller, sustainability business partnering manager, and Pernille Elisa Kramer Schacht, Senior Project Specialist Bestseller Sustainability, from the Bestseller group.

‘With the Fashion Transparency Summit, we aim to create a hands-on event where brand and retailers are inspired to collaborate in easier ways. Sustainability data and data sharing is a topic that should not end in manual spreadsheet work. At the same time we are creating a strong network that can put ideas into actions. We are looking forward to an exciting day, practical learnings and our guests!’, says Alies ter Kuile, Managing Director at Fashion Cloud.

'We see the Fashion Transparency Summit as an unique opportunity to head start cooperation in the fashion industry and to find mutual solutions to the challenges we are all facing.' says Heidi Korterink van der Vegte, CSR Manager Wehkamp.
